Silent Ship

If the day to weigh anchor from time has come,
A ship going to the unknown leaves from this harbour.

As if it has no passengers, it travels silently.
Neither handkerchieves nor hands are waved during that departure.

The ones staying at the wharf, being dolorous because of this journey,
Look at the black horizon for days with dampy eyes.

Wretched  hearts! This is neither the last ship going!
And neither the last mourning of the painful life!

The loved and the loving wait in vain in the world,
They don't know the beloved who has gone won't return.

Each of the many who have gone must be happy there so that
Many years passed through but nobody returned from the journey.

Its like a journey to another world. Turn left, right, front back, nothing but water.

Yes, the poem tells about the journey to the other world. In other words, "death". Passengers are the dead and the people staying at the harbour are their families etc.
