If the day to weigh anchor from time has come,
A ship going to the unknown leaves from this harbour.
As if it has no passengers, it travels silently.
Neither handkerchieves nor hands are waved during that departure.
The ones staying at the wharf, being dolorous because of this journey,
Look at the black horizon for days with dampy eyes.
Wretched hearts! This is neither the last ship going!
And neither the last mourning of the painful life!
The loved and the loving wait in vain in the world,
They don't know the beloved who has gone won't return.
Each of the many who have gone must be happy there so that
Many years passed through but nobody returned from the journey.
