The Wind

The woman was smaller than even a piece of sand.
The sea was smaller than the pain inside the woman.

That old wind was ever blowing
without caring about the sea and the milky way.

And the woman was walking with her naked memories
without striking over sands and stars.

I feel that she's walking towards death:(

Amazing imagery. The sea being smaller than the pain. I think we can all somehow relate to that.

Yes, Julie, the poet tells about such a big pain and naturally we can all feel in this way at times...

Do you know that this is a very new blog and you're one of my first commentators? My aim is introducing the Turkish literacy works to foreigners but translating the Turkish poems into English is an insane idea for a Turk living in Turkey like me, in fact. I see now that it's quite difficult but at least I have somehow managed it that you've understood and commented:))

Nice to see you here. Thanks for your visit and comment.
